Graduation

My husband and I went to Ottawa last Friday to our son's graduation from the university of Ottawa. It was exciting and sad at the same time; the end of another phase of our lives with both children finishing university. For now anyway, they both say they will go back for their masters degrees at some point. He graduated magna cum laude in Computer Engineering. We are very proud of him.

Book talk

Whew, I'm glad this is finished. It is really weird to see myself doing this book talk.

Podcasts

I found a podcast which was two librarians from Twinsburg Public library discussing different topics on various podcasts. I enjoyed listening to their discussion of various books. For example -books made into movies, their 10 best book picks of all time etc. I found it interesting and think that patrons would enjoy listening to book reviews.

Graduation

My son graduates from University this semester; just a couple of weeks and the second of my two children will be finished university. There was a point when I thought this day would never arrive. Now I'm a little sad that it finally has. His official graduation date is June 4th so I have a little while yet.

Spring

This week has been great, I sat on my deck, raked part of the lawn-and all with no blackflies yet! My Crocuses are starting to bloom. I love spring.

Amazing book

I just finished reading "Winter Garden" by Kristin Hannah. I couldn't put it down, what an interesting story.

I must say that so far this has been more fun than I thought. I still hesitate before I click on something but I still click, hold my breath and hope I don't blow anything up!

small minds

Ha Ha

They say small things amuse small minds, I love the fish at the bottom of the blog. If you move your mouse the fish will follow you and if you then click the mouse you feed the fish. As I said "small things". Plus I played around in the blog a little bit.

stepping up to the post

I'm not what I consider young, but certainly not old. I am definitely new at web 2.0 and must say it is intimidating! Let's see what comes next.

Okay, why did I pick the fish as my gadget? I was clicking on different things in the blog just to see what they were. As I was looking I saw gadgets and my thought was what in the world is a gadget? I clicked on it and found the fish, I thought they were interesting and put them in my blog. I'm not sure the fish are usefull but they are fun.
